Cover for an anthology of strange cataclysmic stories edited by Allen Ashley and published by PS Publishing.
The publisher's idea for this was to echo the kind of image found on 1950's comic covers. It gives the picture quite a surreal feel, I think, and I tried to put some humour in there too.
