Deathworld Trilogy [prelim]

Preliminary sketch for the books by Harry Harrison.

The art director's idea with this piece was to have one large picture which would be split over three bookjackets so they could be displayed together on the shelves to recreate the painting. Unfortunately, she changed jobs in the middle of the project and, as you can see from the covers, the new art editor missed the whole point.
