Into the Fire

This is my painting for the souvenir book of the World Fantasy Convention 2014. The brief was to commemorate the First World War. Rather than do something with trenches and barbed wire I wanted to depict the madness that seems to overcome entire nations. The symbolism is a bit heavy perhaps but it says what I wanted it to say.
