One of several full-page interior artworks for the new Gollancz edition of the H.P. Lovecraft collection Necronomicon: The Best Weird Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, edited by Stephen Jones.

My good chum Michael Marshall Smith always quotes "The bloodroots grew insolent in their chromatic perversion" as his favourite Lovecraftian phrase, so naturally I had to draw it even though it's not an obviously horrific image.
