Weirder Shadows over Innsmouth

This is my painting for the cover of Weirder Shadows over Innsmouth published in 2013 by Fedogan and Bremmer. It's edited, of course, by our own Man-about-Arkham Stephen Jones.  I loved the idea of Deep Ones shambling around ruined London. By using St Paul's in the background I hoped to evoke the famous wartime image of the Cathedral viewed through the smoke of the Blitz. Of course nothing says "London" like a red bus so I put a couple of those in. If you look closely you might just see that one was on its way to Ilford before disaster struck.
