Commissioned by Warner Books for the novel by Michael Armstrong. The client decided not to use this and commissioned another panting which can be seen elsewhere in this gallery. I think this is far superior to the final cover painting which was the subject of some enthusiastic art-direction. The German publishers of the book decided to use this artwork. There is some damage to the upper left of the painting which has left a crease in the surface.
