This was a private commission; something which seems to be filling more and more of my schedule. The client had a good idea of what he wanted in terms of the overall scene but left me a free hand with the composition and the details. He came up with the idea of the burning Earth which I absolutely loved. Come to think of it that would be a great title for another picture; “ The Burning Earth”. On the other hand it sounds a bit like a TV series. I wonder what Stephen Spielberg’s doing. In a way it harks back to some of my older stuff like The Lost Dorsai but you can tell things have moved on a bit. This guy looks as if he's just stepped out of a game.
