HMS Belfast
This was an advertising poster commissioned by Harari Page for the floating museum HMS Belfast, which is at anchor between London Bridge and Tower Bridge on the Thames. She was the last Heavy Cruiser to be built for the Royal Navy. Belfast's curator was extremely helpful although a guided tour of the ship reminded me why sailors tend to be small in stature. I worked from photos, technical drawings and a scale model. I wasn't allowed to borrow any of the models displayed on board alas. They might have found a permanent home in my studio!
