Rising Tide
This painting started out because I liked the pose so much, particularly the way her head turns away, and, of course I like painting rocks. I don't really know what the story is here but you can make up your own. As is usual these days it took quite a while to paint and there was a lot of experimenting with the flesh tones. If you've seen this before you'll notice I repainted the sky. I don't often go back to paintings and alter them but I wanted the figure to "pop" a bit more. I think it gives the piece a completely different feel.
