The Immortals: Susan Calvin 3
This is the third illustration commissioned by Pierrot Publishing for use in The Immortals of Science Fiction by David Wingrove. My idea was that this should be the final evolution of the robots contrasted against the now aged Susan Calvin. I wanted him to look streamlined and elegant as opposed to previous incarnations. He does remind me of The Silver Surfer though.
It was also used on French and German covers and on The Mammoth Book of Best New Science Fiction published by Robinson.
