I'll have to own up that I didn't know of this book until I was asked to illustrate it. What a discovery; just about the best fantasy book I've read in ages and ages. Not only does it have the richly detailed and convincing setting that we've all come to expect, but it has entertaining and engaging characters and above all manages to be funny as well. Oh, nearly forgot, and it's a great story. Gentleman Bastards rule.
