The Third Eye

Written by T Lobsang Rampa and published by Corgi, this was sub-titled "The Autobiography of a Tibetan Lama". Apparently it had been a best seller. It turned out though that T Lobsang Rampa was actually Cyril Hoskin from Devon, a plumber. Subsequently he claimed to have been taken over by the soul of a genuine Lama after falling out of a tree. Fascinating chap, and yes, I did have to read it.
